Why we assess first.

The reason

The scope and price of the seal depend on three factors: Company size, Consumption profile and the evidence already available. We do not know these in advance, which is why the assessment comes first and the price second.

Company sizeEmployees and sites determine how much evidence the seal requires.

Consumption profileAnnual consumption determines how extensive the sample check is.

Evidence already availableAnyone running an energy management system to ISO 50001 already brings part of the documentation with them.

Those three figures are exactly what the form asks for. The fields concerned carry the label price-determining.
